Porter-Starke Services has been awarded three-year accreditations for its behavioral health services and opioid treatment program by CARF International, an independent, nonprofit organization that surveys health and human service providers for high quality standards.
CARF recognized various strengths within Porter-Starke Services, including its “genuine compassion and dedication to its clients and the mission of the organization.”
Porter-Starke Services President/CEO Rocco Schiralli congratulated the entire Porter-Starke Services staff on the accomplishment.
“I know our staff members have genuine compassion and concern for our clients and I’m very pleased to have them recognized for their efforts to make Porter-Starke Services the best place to work and receive care,” said Schiralli.
Accreditation is achieved through an on-site survey conducted by a team of experts selected by CARF. A three-year accreditation is the maximum term an organization can earn prior to the next CARF survey and demonstrates that the organization’s programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable. Porter-Starke Services has received CARF accreditation since 1999.
Porter-Starke Services’ CARF accredited programs are adult, child, and adolescent case management/services coordination; adult community housing: mental health; adult day treatment: mental health; adult inpatient treatment: mental health; adult integrated behavioral health primary care: mental health; adult, child, and adolescent outpatient treatment: alcohol and other drugs/addictions; adult, child, and adolescent outpatient treatment: mental health; adult, child, and adolescent prevention: mental health; adult outpatient treatment: opioid treatment program.
Established in 1975, Porter-Starke Services is a community mental health center serving over 14,000 people in Northwest Indiana.
