Family Fun Night
On Friday, March 7, Myers Elementary School had a Family Fun Night where our families came to watch 'The Croods' in our gymnasium. Students were able to dress up in “caveman” costumes to participate in a contest. The dressed as "cavemen" students are Nick Urchick, Kira Andrews, Mia Carmin and Aydin Carmin.
Opening Reception of Youth Art Month Exhibit
Portage elementary art students were honored at the fourth annual Opening Reception of the Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Portage Public Library on Monday, March 3. Art teachers, Jennifer Johnson, Gretchen Scott, Amanda Sheffer, Sarah Yang, Sarah Chapela, and Bridget Nadolski served cookies and punch to the young artists and their family members who came to see the art work on display. The Portage Tri Kappa, Town & Country Market, Portage Public Library staff, and Potage Township School elementary teachers provided the punch and cookies to more than 400 students and family members.
