Billinero, an app-based savings account that awards cash prizes in monthly and quarterly drawings to select users, has named Alexandra Kaminski of Hammond, Indiana as the monthly $1,000 drawing.
Kaminski, an Accountant at ArcelorMittal, resides in Hammond, Indiana. She began using Billinero to save since 2019, as a way to save for a down payment on her first home, but kept saving even after she closed on it nearly two years ago.
“It’s been really nice to have a stash of money that’s out of the way, and that I don’t touch when I want to splurge,” Kaminski said. “It’s really cool to watch your savings grow just by saving $25 at a time.”
The news of her winning the monthly drawing came just one week before her 27th birthday.
“This is so exciting, I wanted to plan a little getaway or something fun for my birthday, and now I have $1,000 to do it!” she exclaimed.
Chris Campbell, Executive Vice President of Billinero, said users are learning fundamental money management skills through the app, which will help set them up for the future.
