Pierogi Fest, that wacky, nutty festival, organized by hundreds of volunteers is less than a month away, and will be held Friday July 28th (11AM to 11PM), Saturday July 29th (11AM to 11PM) and Sunday July 30th (11AM to 5PM) in Downtown Whiting, Indiana.
The festival offers more than 75 food booths with over 1,200 menu items, 2 beer gardens, 55 arts and crafts and tchotchke vendors, 7 performance stages featuring a wide variety of music, and the craziest polka parade ANYWHERE (parade is Friday, July 28th at 7 PM).
A free concert featuring Smash Mouth, sponsored by Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana will take place on the main stage Saturday, July 29th at 8:30PM. With hits like: All Star, Walkin’ on the Sun, I’m a Believer, Why Can’t We Be Friends, and Can’t Get Enough of You Baby (and the soundtracks to the Shrek movies) this should be a great evening, but then every evening is great at Pierogi Fest.
