This year's AATG event at Urschel Pavilion in Valparaiso, Indiana continued the tradition of creating a bigger, better, and more bedazzled gathering for women to celebrate what makes them unique. The Northwest Indiana venue is the host for a plethora of events involving the community.
The event featured opening remarks from Erin Parker (English/Journalism Educator at La Porte High School) and Brenda Cooper (Co-Chair of the English Department). They were followed with speeches by Heather McColly (Director of Career Development & New Homes Division at McColly Real Estate), Angie Nelson Deuitch (President of Diversity Squared), Buffy Adams (Director of Development at St. Jude's House), Dena Whaling (Partner at Picked Vintage Valpo & Community Liaison), Kelly Mickey (Sergeant at Hammond Police Department Community Affairs Division), and Gloria Morris (Founder of Float Sixty & Client Executive, Google Cloud for CPG).
Sponsors for the event included St. Jude House, American Licorice Company, McColly Real Estate, the City of Portage, Centier Bank, Ricochet Tacos, Community Healthcare System, Party People Audio Video, Paladin, Strack & Van Til, 1st Source Bank, General Insurance Services, Team Chevrolet, United Healthcare, Xfinity, and Blockhead Beerworks.
