The Winamac Old Auto Club brings car enthusiasts throughout Northwest Indiana together with cars ranging from 100 years old to more modern models. The group places a big emphasis on car maintenance, restoration, and community. For Team Chevy, inviting the community to the dealership for the car show is more than enough reason to host.

“Team Chevy has been partnering with the Winamac Old Auto Club for a while. We really like this club. We were doing just one show in the fall. Since it has been growing, we started a spring show,” Team Chevy General Manager David Brubaker said.

Team Chevy and the Winamac Old Auto Club have been partnering on this event for over two decades. In that time, the two have learned what works for the event and how to make sure guests are having a good time. For example, The Club provides donuts for all in the morning and Team Chevy provides the coffee. Team Chevy also provides a cookout for all during the event.

The partnership between the two organizations is one that the Winamac Old Auto Club sees continuing well into the future.

“The people are wonderful. All the events we go to have been really good. I enjoy it. We have all these people who really enjoy what we do. Especially team Chevrolet, they really are very good to us. This is usually our biggest show of the year when we come here.“ Winamac Old Auto Club President Glen Ewen said.

The Winamac Old Auto Club puts on shows across the Region for retirement communities, veterans, and anyone else interested in cars. This has built a community that’s closer to a family than to a club.

“It's a bunch of wonderful people and the club is unbelievable,” Ewen said. “We will be back here about the fifth on the first Saturday in October. We'll be here. We've been coming here for many years and we celebrate.”

This year’s event saw a turnout that made the partnering organizations happy. Having the community come out to enjoy themselves thanks to the Winamac Old Auto Club’s car show is something Brubaker is always glad to see.

“We had a great turnout today, and great weather. It's a great group of people,” Brubaker said.

The Winamac Old Auto Club has more shows throughout the Region heading into the summer. Those interested in attending can see a full schedule of events here.
