HannaFest Celebrates Heritage, History

HannaFestThe citizens of Hanna invite everyone to come to HannaFest on July 20 and 21. Hanna is located on US 30 between Valparaiso and Plymouth in southern La Porte County. HannaFest celebrates the history, culture, and people of this small, friendly community.

Stroll the quiet streets of Hanna and enjoy the town-wide garage sales, arts and crafts, food and drink, music, and many other activities. Entrance and parking are free. There will be lots of activities for kids, including Squiggles and Smaxy the Clown, kite-flying demonstrations, face-painting, a Moon Walk, a K9 demonstration, and a coloring contest. For families there will be Bingo with a Cake Walk, a talent contest, parade, a family fun run around town, and Fireworks at dusk on Saturday. Adults will enjoy the Beer Garden and Saturday night Street Dance, Car show, Antique Tractor show, and the food specials at Rumors Bar & Grill. On Saturday the Hanna Lions Club will have their famous BBQ Chicken for sale from 10 am until it’s gone.
