PHS Students Assemble Comfort Kits for Red Cross

Portage High School Health Occupations Students of America, Portage Chapter, assembled Comfort Kits for the American Red Cross of Porter County, Indiana. The students collected personal hygiene items for families that encounter hardships due to disasters such as house fires, tornado, floods and other calamities. They collected enough material to assemble 101 adult kits and 10 child kits.

The kits were made to cover Porter County, but if Southern Indiana needs them, they may go to the recently tornado-damaged areas of Henryville, Indiana.
