Free Mammograms Offered for Uninsured and Underinsured

Breast_cancer_ribbonFranciscan St. Anthony Health-Michigan City has received a grant through the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust to help supplement the cost of 50 free screening mammograms for women who are uninsured or underinsured or who do not qualify for the federally funded Breast and Cervical Cancer Program.

Mammograms are recommended for women aged 40 and older.

About the Indiana Breast Care Awareness Trust
The mission of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust Inc. is to increase awareness and improve access to breast cancer screening and diagnosis throughout Indiana. IBCAT receives funds through sales of breast cancer awareness specialty license plates, which began in January 2002.
