Help Sought for Injured K9 Officer

The Portage Police Department is seeking help to support one of their own. K9 Eros has been forced to retire after 8 years of service to the city of Portage due to a recent neck injury which led to ruptured discs in his neck and emergency surgery to repair the damage. His handler, partner and best friend, Sergeant Mark Monks, has taken on the cost of his extensive and costly surgery, saving Eros from being put down.

The Department is asking for monetary donations to help offset the costs incurred by the surgery. If you are able to help, donations can be dropped off or mailed to the following locations:
