PHS Weekend Roundup: Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming & Diving

The varsity boys’ basketball team lost to Merrillville Friday night 43-84. Luke Kizer had 10 points and 6 rebounds, Skyler Moss 12 points and 6 rebounds. (overall 4-7, DAC 2-4)

JV also lost 37-50 Jeff McElfresh scored 12 points for the team. (overall 1-7, DAC 0-6)

A great effort by the Lady Indians basketball team they fell to the Merrillville Pirates 51-66. Tori Bliss and Nicki Monahan leading the team with 12 points each. (overall 2-10, DAC 0-8) A very close one point game was won by the JV team 28-27. Alexis Johnson and Alex Bustos both led the Indians with 7 points. (overall 9-3, DAC 5-3)

The Wrestling team hosted the Super Duals on Saturday. Scores were: Portage 0 Crown Point 64 Portage 57 Renselaer 16 Portage 64 Lowell 15

Highland Invite Results 6th of out 8 teams Record remains the same with outstanding performances by Tayler Bayer, Lauryn Sanders, Jordan Parker.
