Centier Bank Donates $5,000 to New Lake County Corndogs Baseball Team
Centier Bank recently presented a $5,000 community donation to the Lake County Corndogs to help support the team in its inaugural season. Located in Crown Point, the Lake County Corndogs are the newest pre-professional team in the Northern League.
The community donation will aid the team in its mission of “building community through baseball” - a mission Centier Bank is also proud to support. The Corndogs have secured the bank as an official partner and will be used in the creation of the “Centier Zone.”
The Corndogs’ Majority Owner, Ralph Flores, said he was touched by the community support the team has received from partners like Centier
“To have Centier Bank--with its longstanding history in Lake County--as a partner of the Corndogs is extremely exciting for the franchise,” said Flores, “The Corndogs strive to bring quality family entertainment while being great corporate citizens to the residents of Lake County--just as Centier's family-owned bank has done for over a century.”
Ryan Troxel, pitcher for the Corndogs and summer intern at Centier Bank, was thrilled to hear that his two worlds would be coming together.
“Support from Centier is a great thing for the Corndogs,” said Troxel. “It has been such a great experience being part of an organization that supports community involvement, so myself and my teammates can pursue our passion for the sport while providing fun and entertainment for our neighbors.”
Dakita Jones, Community Relations Manager at Centier Bank, could not wait to present the donation to the team.
“As a community bank, Centier is honored to be able to partner with the Lake County Corndogs to bring more exciting and fun opportunities to the Lake County community,” Jones explained. “I know a lot of us are excited to go to the games and to cheer on the Corndogs!”
