Portage Boys Track: 8 Individuals, 2 Relay Teams Qualify for Regionals

BOYS TRACK - SECTIONAL
Boys Track finished 3rd in the 11 team Sectional and advanced 8 Individuals & 2 Relays to the Regional next week. Jake Dixon, winning 2 Sectional titles in the 100 Dash & Long Jump, led the tribe. His performances were the 2nd best in school history in both events. Vince Fischer also earned a Sectional title in the Discus with his personal best performance.

Runner Up finishes were turned in by:

Alvin Best in the High Jump
Joey Little in the Shot Put
Jeron Blake in the 200 Dash
And the 4x100 Relay of Ricardo Silva, Fred Milledge, Jeron Blake, Jake Dixon.
All had season best performances.

Other Regional Qualifiers include:

Alvin Best in the 400
Tyler Monahan in the Discus
And the 4x800 Relay of Ty Crawford, Cory Lamping, Brandon Welbourne & Robert Blackwell
