Portage Softballers Sweep Valpo

VARSITY SOFTBALL:
The Varsity Softball team defeated Valpo last night 3-2 making their record 11-8 (7-5 DAC). Haley Hodges, Natalie Korpak, Dani Bryan, Dani Lynch, Kristen Ashby and Nikki Cloyd all had hits for Portage. Kylie Someson had 7 strikeouts for Portage.

JV SOFTBALL:
The JV Softball team defeated Valparaiso 9-2 making their record 12-5 (9-4 DAC).

Player Highlights:

Team had 12 hits
Arissa Salas 2-4 with an RBI and 2 stolen bases
Jena Alaniz and Stephanie Upton each were 2-4 with an RBI and 1 stolen base
Heather Zengler 2-3 with a double and an RBI – she also improves to 5-3 on the season
