PHS Track Recap: vs. Lake Central and Valpo

BOYS TRACK:
Boys Track defeated Lake Central, but lost in a very close battle against #14 ranked Valpo that came down to the wire. Boys' Track is now 4-1 on the season.

Overall First Place Finishes for the Indians were:

• Alvin Best, High Jump
• Tyler Monahan, Discus
• Joey Little, Shot Put
• Darian Oren, 100 dash
• Jeron Blake, 200 dash
• And, the 4x100 Relay team of Oren, Blake, Fred Milledge & Jake Dixon

GIRLS TRACK:

The Girls Track team traveled to Valpo last night and faced two of the best teams in northwest Indiana.  Valpo and Lake Central defeated the Indians, but personal best were turned in by a number of athletes.   Christina Delturco in the 1600, Kristy Evans and Ashley Farley in the long jump.  Tori Bliss won both the Shot put and Discus with Mckenzie Harsha finishing second.   Jawanza Woods in the 200-meter dash.  Keep up the good work ladies
