Whiting’s Veterans Day Ceremony

A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held in the City of Whiting on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Whiting Veterans Memorial located at the corner of 119th Street & Oliver Street. Messages will be delivered by the commanders of the veteran and service organizations, a salute will be fired, and Taps will be played.

Everyone is welcome to join us at Post 80, 2003 Indianapolis Blvd. in Whiting, for coffee and doughnuts starting at 9:00 a.m. At approximately 10:50 a.m., all in attendance will line up to march to the memorial site at 10:55 a.m. with Post 80 Color Guard leading and musical accompaniment by the Whiting High School Band.

Following the ceremony, Whiting Post 80 will honor veterans with a spaghetti dinner from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The dinner is FREE to all veterans.
