2019-fabtones2019 PORTAGE SUMMER MUSIC SERIES OF "FREE" TUESDAY NIGHT CONCERTS AT "WOODLAND PARK": THE FABTONES WITH TED ALIOTTA PERFORM JUNE 11TH!

So groovy! So fab! THE FABTONES with special guest TED ALIOTTA re-create a 1960's dance party on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Woodland Park in Portage, Indiana! This terrific concert is all part of this year's 2019 Portage Summer Music Series of FREE concerts held indoors in Woodland Park's Oakwood Grand Hall, every Tuesday, June through August. Woodland Park is located just south of US 20 in Portage, at 2100 Willowcreek Road (from US 20 & 249, 1/4 mile east to light, 1/4 mile south to park entrance). Seating is provided and the show is open to the public.

The Fabtones take audiences on a fun musical journey of great dance music of the 1960's, featuring Rock and Roll, Pop, Motown, R&B, British Invasion, Elvis, Crooners, and lots more! Keeping energy high and flowing, the band presents medley arrangements of two, three, and sometimes more 1960's hits. The Fabtones is a creation of the band's lead vocalist and guitarist, David Molinari, and Keith Kenston, vocals and bass guitar, both formerly members of "The Rockets" rock and roll band. Fabtones drummer Tim Feil was featured in "Just Enough Band, "The 3Aces," and "The Heartbeats." Ted Aliotta (vocals, harmonica, and guitar) is an original member of the 70's rock group "Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah," famous for the national hit record "Lake Shore Drive," now a legendary Chicago anthem. Ted's a songwriter, poet, and actor as well, and performed the lead role in the rock opera "Hair." On television, Ted's been featured performing in WTTW's "Cornerstones of Rock" concert series.

Concessions and a cash bar add to the Woodland Park concerts fun, and there's plenty of dance-floor room for young and old, family and friends, to really dance it up!

Donations of non-perishable food, personal items, and paper products for the Portage Food Pantry and Gabriel's Horn Women's Homeless Shelter are welcomed for collection at every concert, but are not required.

The 2019 Portage Summer Music Series is produced in collaboration with Portage Township Live Entertainment Association (PTLEA), the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce, and the Portage Department of Parks and Recreation. Concerts at Woodland Park are made possible by grants from John W. Anderson Foundation and Porter County Community Foundation, Indiana Dunes Tourism, and from donations by local residents and Portage Chamber business members.

The 2019 Portage Summer Music Series Committee includes: PTLEA board members Jose Moreno, Terry Hardin, Linda Hardin, Paul Panicali, Dushanka Milatovic, and Joe Shukstor; Nancy Simpson, Executive Director of the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce; and Lori Wilkie, Assistant Superintendent of the Portage Department of Parks and Recreation.
