Participate in Hammond’s 2017 Summer Recreation

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. cordially invites Hammond children, ages 6-11, to enjoy the City of Hammond’s Summer Recreation programs. The fun will begin June 12 and go through July 14, weather permitting. Programs will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - noon. Proof of residency is required via a valid IN driver’s license with your Hammond address or a valid State of IN ID. A birth certificate is needed for each child. Registration is available at the Hammond Civic Center and the Jean Shepherd Community Center. There will be NO onsite registration.
Registration: May 8 – 27 costs $10 per child, cash or credit cards accepted.
Late Registration* May 30 – June 7 costs $20 per child, cash or credit cards accepted.
*Late registration will only be taken if space is available.

- Forsythe Park: 119th & Caroline
- Pulaski Park: 137th & Sheffield
- Columbia Park: Columbia & Michigan
- Hessville Park: 173rd & Kennedy
Children will be in a supervised day camp setting with sports equipment, games and arts & crafts. Breakfast and lunch are provided at no charge by the School City of Hammond. For more information, call 853-6378 or visit the Hammond Civic Center.
