Northwest Health celebrates employees with spooktastic trunk-or-treats

Last week, Northwest Health showed appreciation to their dedicated team members with Trunk-or-Treats at their Northwest Health – La Porte and Porter locations. The events featured fun-filled activities including face painting, balloon animals, and of course Halloween decorated cars filled with candy and treats for the kids.

Kids, dressed in a wide variety of costumes, had a blast strolling from car-to-car, playing games and collecting candy. Even some puppies got dressed up for the occasion!

“We work so hard, so it’s especially nice to have a little play in our day” said Ashley Dickinson, CEO, Northwest Health.

"Our departments create such unique trunks and everyone was so excited to be able to see their families here," said Dickinson.

Dickinson shared that she has high hopes for future trunk-or-treats and is excited to see how the event continues to grow and bring everyone together. She added that of course none of it would have been possible without the generosity of so many team members.

In addition to Northwest Health showing team members their appreciation, trunk-or-treat was a great event for teams to connect with one another in a more personal way and develop stronger relationships.

“We always try to find ways to give back to our employees. Our team works hard to serve patients every single day, and sometimes that means that they don’t get to celebrate holidays with their families and go to fun events in the community. Events like these allow us to give back to them while allowing them to celebrate with their families and co-workers,” said Keith Nichols, CEO, Northwest Health – La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke.

“I’m thankful for all the people out here helping with the trunk-or-treat. There’s representation from all different parts of the hospital. So many people came together to make this happen and it’s awesome,” said Nichols.
