On Wednesday
night, the Hobart Brickies boys basketball team faced off against the Portage
Indians on home
turf. The Indians were ahead at the half with
score of 16-9, ultimately finishing the game in
the lead with a score of 36-24. Head coach of the Indians, Rick Snodgrass,
expressed his thoughts on the team’s success.
“I think that our
kids did a good job reacting to Hobart’s runs,” Snodgrass said. “Basketball is
a game at runs. It was a low scoring game, and we handled the runs and extended
the lead. That’s what we have to do, we have to win close games.”
The Brickies (2-5)
will next face off against Hammond Morton (4-10) on January 29. The Indians
(4-10) will next play Michigan City (9-2) on January 29 at 7 pm.
