Event Information
Join members of St. Mary Medical Center's Advanced Heart & Vascular Institute team as they discuss the WATCHMAN procedure for patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib).
Patients with AFib are at an increased risk of stroke. The WATCHMAN device can be implanted in the heart to seal off the small appendage that increases the risk of clotting and stroke. This procedure can eliminate the need for blood thinners for many patients and help AFib patients return to their regular lifestyle and activities.
A mini-health fair is included featuring blood pressure screenings and one-minute EKGs along with information tables and health-related materials.
This program is free! To register, call 219-836-3477 or 866-836-3477.
