Presented by Great Lakes Peterbilt of the Larson Group, Portage will host its 7th Annual Portage Brewfest & Taco Test. Proceeds aid two of the city’s largest non-profits, the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Portage Township YMCA. The addition of the Taco Test was a huge success, currently El Salto, Bossman Tacos and the Chamber/YMCA will be serving tacos. If you think you have the best tacos around, please contact the Portage Chamber of Commerce at 219-762-3300 for a vendor application. May the best taco win!
Last year, over 650 people attended the event, enjoying not only the brew and taco tastings, but the smooth sounds of John “DonDo” and Chad Clifford. Chad Clifford will be returning again this year and the main entertainment, Chronic Flannel who is locally based and has a terrific following.
A common misconception is that the Brewfest is just for beer lovers, but that is not the case. Portage Brewfest & Taco Test will also be serving up seltzers, hard ciders, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages. While the All Access Pass is the best bang for your buck, you can also purchase Brewfest Only, Taco Test Only or General Admission tickets through event.ontaptickets.com. This event is for Adults 21+ only and takes place at the new Open Air Pavillion at 6010 US Hwy 12, Portage, IN 46368 on Saturday September 19. Gates open at 3:30pm and the Brewfest & Taco Test begin at 4:00 P.M. with Chronic Flannel taking the stage at 7:00 P.M – 9:00 P.M.
