PNW’s Beauty and the Beast

Event Information

4:01pm - 4:01pm

By special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. Beauty and the Beast by Warren Graves.

The merchant Blotti, unable to find his way home through a confounding forest after his misfortunes in the China seas, stumbles into the magic castle of the Beast. The Beast offers him riches to please his trio of lovely daughters, along with the Key of Journeys to find his way home again, if Blotti promises to send his youngest and purest daughter, Beauty, to live with him in the Castle. This non-musical version of the traditional fable is filled with wry humor, scenes of daring, and magic that will appeal to adults as well as children. It is Beauty's special magic of innocence and goodness that holds the key to the transformations of those she loves, and that ultimately frees the Beast from his prison.
