Please join the Student Conservation Association (SCA) and the City of Hammond in kicking off the fall planting season by planting 40 native trees in Hessville Park on Saturday, September 7th!

WHEN: Saturday, September 7th, 9:00 am to Noon. Registration beginning at 8:30 am, kick-off at 9:00 am.

WHERE: Park in the lot on the north side of Hessville Park off of Orchard Dr. across from California Ave. Look for the Student Conservation Association work truck and trailer as well as the blue pop up tent!

WHAT: Volunteers will plant, mulch, and water native trees.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.) are provided. Drinking water and coffee will be available throughout the event.
