Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., and the City of Hammond invite all to join us for a September 11th Remembrance Ceremony commemorating the twenty-first anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy to remember those who lost their lives and to honor our first responders. 

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 11 at the State Line Obelisk and Archway Plaza on the Lake Michigan shoreline.  Enter at 701 Casino Center Drive and staff will direct you to the location.  The ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. There will be a performance by the Hammond and Lake County Police Bagpipes, a 21-Gun Salute by Hammond Police, a joint Hammond Police/Fire Honor Guard, and more. We hope to see you there.
