Conservation, Wildlife & You!

Event Information

11:47am - 11:47am

What are some of the challenges conservation organizations are facing in Northwest Indiana?
How are these issues affecting native wildlife?
What can you do to help?

Grab your ticket today to join Save the Dunes and Humane Indiana Wildlife on Saturday, November 16th from 9am-11am for an informative talk to answer these questions, and meet some of Humane Indiana Wildlife’s education ambassador animals! We will be discussing issues such as habitat loss, fragmentation and industrialization, and what impact these threats are having on our native wildlife based on the animals coming into Humane Indiana Wildlife’s rehab center. You will then get to hear the stories and meet some of the animals that came to the HIW rehab center because of these threats. Save the Dunes will share some of the projects we are undertaking to address these issues right now, and together with Humane Indiana Wildlife, we will provide some tips and suggestions on how you too can make a difference in protecting our wildlife!

Seating is limited so grab your tickets today! This is a family friendly event, open to anyone interested in learning about conservation & wildlife in Northwest Indiana. Discounted tickets are available for children under 12.

The talk will be held at the historic Barker House, located at 444 Barker Rd, Michigan City, IN 46360. Overflow parking will be at Barker Middle School, 319 East Barker Road, Michigan City, IN 46360.
