A Salute to Labor

Event Information

The City of Portage is hosting a Salute to Labor event from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 2 at Founders Square. Admission is free.

Austin Edwards Music, Too Fighters Chicago and Funky Monks RHCP Tribute will perform!

Edwards is a country music performer who's former band, Broken Roots, was first runner-up on America's Got Talent Season 16 in 2020. Too Fighters is the original Foo Fighters tribute band from Plainfield, Ill. Funky Monks offers the ultimate Red Hot Chili Peppers experience. Edwards will open the evening at about 3:30 p.m., with Too Fighters to follow at 5 p.m. and Funky Monks at 7 p.m. Times are approximate.

Food trucks including Day Dreams Ice Cream, Tocayos, Gridiron Grill, Papa Concessions, Fat Guy Fries, Dr. Dawg! and Lilly's Lively Lemon-Shake-Ups will be there.

There will also be a beer garden, sensory-friendly touch a truck and K9 demonstration.
