YMCA Kids Participate in LAUNCH Hula Hoop Contest

India Comer participated in the Portage Township YMCA's LAUNCH program and was the winner of the longest time hooped in the month of February at the Portage Township YMCA's Aylesworth Y-Care site.

Ben Vuko was the winner of the longest time hooped from the Y's Jones Elementary Y-Care site.

Each member of the program hula hooped each day for as long as they could without stopping.

LAUNCH provides the opportunity for each child in the Y's School Age Child Care program to eat fresh fruits and vegetables at least three days a week, to participate in active play at least one hour each day, and to learn about health and nutrition so they can learn to make positive choices for themselves in the future.
