We Are the Portage Porpoise Swim Club

portage-porpiose-swim-clubPride, Purpose, Strength, Commitment... we are the Portage Porpoise Swim Club--promoting excellence in swimming.

The PPSC Learn-to-Swim program is designed to instruct and guide swimmers aged 4½ and older with different swimming abilities into “team ready” swimmers. (Note: although it is not a requirement that swimmers join the swim team upon completion of our Learn to Swim program, parents should understand that preparing children to join the team is the focus of our lessons.) All instructors are CPR and first aid certified and have coach’s safety training certification, in addition to being a coaching member of USA Swimming.

Skills taught: comfort in the water, basic water safety, breath control, beginning stroke technique, freestyle and backstroke basics, and endurance.
