Wall panel signing ceremony held in Valparaiso

Barley Properties, Holladay Properties, and Holladay Construction Group held a Wall Panel Signing Ceremony for Barley Properties' new 65,592 square foot multi-tenant "flex" building on October 17, 2019 at 9 AM. The wall panel signing commemorates the setting of the last exterior wall panel for the building shell. The Ceremony was held at the construction site located at 2650 Barley Road in Valparaiso, Ind., adjacent to the Indiana Beverage facility.

“The investment is proof of Barley Properties’ long-term outlook on the Valparaiso marketplace and of our commitment to the continued success of Valparaiso,” said Jon Leetz, Barley Properties. “The building is designed to fill a need for flexible light industrial and commercial space in Valparaiso. It offers local businesses an option to grow here, and it provides an ideal location to attract new businesses to our community.”

Barley Properties’ “Bluejay I” building is currently under construction with shell delivery scheduled for December 2019. The facility is designed to accommodate multiple tenants in a variety of uses and features energy-efficient design standards, dedicated architectural storefronts, 24-foot clear ceiling height, utility infrastructure to accommodate a wide variety of users, and dock and drive-in doors available for each suite.

“Holladay Properties is very appreciative of the opportunity to assist such a great local organization in bringing their vision to reality.  Once completed, this development will deliver approximately 175,000 square feet of 1st class light industrial/commercial space to the market,” said Mike Micka, VP of Development for Holladay Properties. “Marketing and pre-leasing efforts are currently underway and we couldn’t be happier with the interest and inquiries Bluejay 1 has received thus far. We look forward to making some exciting announcements regarding lease signings soon.”

The new building is in an ideal location and offers visibility from IN-49 and proximity to US Highway 30 and the Porter County Regional Airport. The property will have city-provided utilities, 120 car parking spaces, and access to amenities including restaurants, shopping, and educational services.
