You are invited to 'Walk the Red Carpet' at the Porter County Career Centers "Film & Animation Showcase" on Monday, June 3rd at 6:00 in the Valparaiso Ivy Tech auditorium. Please join us for an evening showcasing the creative work of the Computer Aided Design class and the Video Productions and Media Studies class. The CAD class will be showing their animations.
The Video Production class will showcase music videos, short scenes, and personal profiles. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately 2 and a half hours (with a short intermission).
At the beginning of the night, the annual "Gabe Myers Scholarship" will be awarded. Gabe Myers, a former member of the class, passed away in March of 2011 and the Video Production Scholarship was renamed in his honor. The scholarship is open only to Video Production class members pursuing a degree in a related field next school year. The public is welcome to attend this free event.
