On Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Porter County Expo Center, VNA Hospice NWI will host its second annual Hops for Hospice. The event will draw breweries from the region and across the country in support of accessible, nonprofit hospice care in Northwest Indiana.
More than 80 of the latest and greatest beers will be featured along with food trucks and live music. Admission will include a free commemorative glass, unlimited tasting, and will support the VNA hospice program. In addition to all of the usual hop-fueled festivities, VNA Hospice NWI, in collaboration with The Chesterton Brewery, will release a new beer: Best Haze Possible.
“I am grateful for the partnership and continued support of Vern Brown and the rest of The Chesterton Brewery team,” said Bob Franko, President and CEO of VNA Hospice NWI. “They’ve done wonderful work honoring and passing on the stories of veterans in our community.
Best Haze Possible represents a tribute to anyone in our community who’s in need of hospice services, as well as the commitment of the VNA volunteers to Make Best Days Possible.“ Washington Street Tap Room will also serve Best Haze Possible after the event and donate all proceeds to help fund hospice care in our community.
VNA Hospice NWI is the leading advocate of nonprofit hospice services, palliative care, and other senior care services in Northwest Indiana. Hops for Hospice will support VNA’s hospice program which has provided compassionate end-of-life care to more than 15,000 patients and their families in our community.
“The mission is pretty simple: drink beer and do good,” said Bob Franko. “Support local brews and a local cause and join us at Hops for Hospice.”
