The Porter County Council of American Legion Posts, which encompasses six posts, is again taking up the task of raising the money necessary to purchase a new Van for our Veterans. Our 2005 van is used daily, and the miles are piling up. The van is showing signs of wear. Our drivers are all volunteers, and we want all of them as well as the veterans they transport to travel in safety and comfort.
In a few years a new Ford Explorer could cost around $20,000, even with our discount. We hope that you will consider making a generous donation to our cause. Your gift is tax deductible.
