Valpo to Host Neighborhood Workshop, June 14

Valpo to Host Neighborhood Workshop, June 14

To further promote neighborhood engagement, the City of Valparaiso is hosting a Neighborhood Workshop on Wednesday, June 14, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Valparaiso City Hall, 166 Lincolnway. Neighborhood Workshops provide an opportunity for neighborhood representatives to connect, learn from each other and become more familiar with available neighborhood services. The June agenda includes an introduction to Police Chief Andrew McIntyre and a discussion of neighborhood services.

Neighborhood groups, including homeowners’ associations, neighborhood associations or newly forming groups are encouraged to send representatives to the workshop. “We host these workshops to help neighbors network with each other and with other neighborhoods, sharing good ideas and connecting people with services and resources,” said Maggie Clifton, Valpo’s Director of Community Engagement. The full agenda is available on the Community Engagement page at Valpo.us.

To participate in the Neighborhood Workshop, please RSVP by contacting Maggie Clifton at City Hall (219) 462-1161, mclifton@valpo.us. RSVP is requested to ensure materials and space for all participants.
