Today, the Urban League of Northwest Indiana launched its Year-End Giving Campaign. The timely execution is being marked on Giving Tuesday, which is a day recogized nationally for donors to support non-profit organizations.
"We have entered the season of giving and thought Giving Tuesday was the perfect time to launch our year-end giving campaign," said Urban League of NWI President and CEO Dr. Vanessa Allen-McCloud.
Below is a list of programs/services that charitible contributions help support:
Education:
- College and Career Readiness
- Scholastic Academic Luncheon
- Scholarship Opportunities
Financial Literacy:
- VITA – Free Income Tax services
Health & Wellness:
- Food, Rental, and Security Assistance referrals
Diversity and Inclusion:
- Awareness Training for community organizations and schools
"On behalf of our Board of Directors, the Urban League Staff and clients, we extend our sincerest gratitude for your support," added Allen-McCloud. "Dollars raised will help sustain our ability to provide services in the communities we serve in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties."
The campaign will run through the end of the year.
