10/5; 7:00-8:30 PM Paranormal Program Just in time for Halloween! Join us for an interactive, informative, educational and entertaining presentation about paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena. Instructor Cher Wright of Paranormal Sciences will discuss basic theories, equipment, procedures and experiences about the paranormal investigations. Make time for questions and sharing of stories at the end as well! Pre-registration for this FREE program is requested by September 28, please call or stop by the library to sign up now!

10/11; 2-4pm Movie Monday! Join us in October to watch one of AFI's best movies of all time, The Birds. Humans must flee for their lives as birds try to stage a bloody attack on the civilized world; staring Rod Taylor, Tippi Hedren and directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

10/18; 7-8:45pm Lyric Opera Join us for lectures about operas from this season of the Lyric Opera of Chicago performances. Presented by a Lyric Core Opera member, this trained lecturer will speak on "Carmen" by Georges Bizet; giving background information about both the composer and the story, as well as play musical highlights.

10/27 6 - 8:00 PM College Fair Free and open to all, the college fair allows highschool students and their parents, as well as nontraditional students, an opportunity to talk to admissions officers from local post-secondary colleges, universities and organizations to discuss:

  • College entrance exam testing (ACT/SAT)
