fillerY-Lose It Weight Loss Challenge
Take the challenge and see results with twice weekly workouts with a personal Team Fitness Coach. Weekly nutrition counseling and private weigh-ins, with group support and team progress tracking, will help you meet your goal. Ages 14 and up. Register through Sept. 1. Begins week of Sept. 8.

Chisel 2.0
Perform prescribed workouts on your own time schedule. Access the program from our website. Ages 14 and up. 30-minute circuits change every 3 weeks, four different workouts over 12 weeks allow maximum physical progress while preventing the body from plateauing. Includes videos that demonstrate and detail cues for each exercise. Register through Sept. 1 at the Front Desk. Begins week of Sept. 8.

Youth Indoor Floor Hockey
We are offering this sport to our community once again. The basic fundamentals of floor hockey such as stick handling, passing, shooting will be covered. It’s a great opportunity for kids ages 6-13 to come together, learn new skills and challenge themselves. Register through Sept. 1. Begins week of Sept. 8. Days and time TBD.

Men’s “A” League
The men’s basketball League has continued to grow since its return in the Fall of 2013. As a result, we are now offering an “A” league which is our competitive League and a B league which is our recreational league. If you think you have what it takes come out and test your skills in our “A” League. Sundays, 1 pm to close. Begins Sept 7. Register through Sept 1. “B” League will start in Oct.

Co-Ed Flag Football League
Gather some friends or co-workers and enjoy playing in our recreational Co-Ed Flag Football League. Perfect for the sports enthusiasts who want to get active and be a part of a team. Fridays, 5:30-8:40 pm at Real Life Community Church. Begins Sept 12. Register through Sept 1 at the Front Desk. Registration form includes a complete set of the rules and regulations.

Progressive Swim and Gymnastics Lessons
Sign up today to learn new skills, meet new friends and have fun . At the Y, “progressive” takes you from good to great as you build self-confidence within a values-based setting. Progressive swim lessons for all ages help make children water-safe. Progress gymnastics lessons begin at age 3, and for those who are interested, can lead to team competition. See website for schedules.

Aquacise
This low-impact workout includes aerobic activity along with strengthening exercises utilizing weights and pool noodles. Register through Sept 1. Begins week of Sept 8. Choose Mon & Wed or Tue & Thur class. 6:15-7 pm. Portage High West pool. Open to all in the community. Register online or at the Y Front Desk only.

Preschool 2014-2015
Be sure to hold your spot for the 2014-2015 school year, as openings are limited. Pre-K Academy, for children age 4 by Aug 1, meets M/W/F at 9-11:30 or 12:30-3. Pre-K 4 Day Class meets at the same time, with extra opportunity to review skills on Thursdays. Junior Academy, for children age 3 by Aug 1, meets on T/Th at 9:30-11:30 or 12:30-2:30. Before/After School Y-Care
For safe affordable care for your elementary/middle school student, look no further than the YMCA! 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday or school closing days such asscheduled breaks. Children are bussed to and from their Portage Township Schools to their Y-Care Site (Jones or Aylesworth School). CCDF Vouchers and Financial Assistance available. Open Wallyball, Dodgeball, Basketball, Volleyball
Come out, get moving and have fun playing your favorite games. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, there is a place for you! Wallyball, ages 10 and up, Mondays, 7:30 pm. Dodgeball, ages 10 and up, Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. Men’s Basketball, Wednesdays at 7 pm. Volleyball, ages 14 and up, Thursdays at 7 pm. Free for Y members; $5 for community participants who come with a Y member; $10 for all others. Open play; no registration required.
