Mr. Jim Mannel from the Portage Parks Department visited Jones Elementary on Monday, November 7th. He presented the program "Treemendous Trees" to the 3 second grade classes. It was a great program that they all enjoyed!
The students were able to build a model of a tree, and discussed the structure, life cycle, and function of trees in an ecosystem. We really appreciated Mr. Mannel coming and all of the second graders learned a lot!
