People tend to overeat during the holiday season. People cook so much food and feel they must eat all of it until it’s gone. We tend to find those tempting foods hard to resist. I have a couple of ideas that can help to reduce the damage.
The first is to drink two cups of water (or some other liquid) before eating a meal. The liquid in your stomach will fill you up partially and you will not be able to eat as much food. I’ve tried this method and it does work quite well.
Another is to do some extra working out to combat the extra eating you’ll be doing. I personally exercise an extra few hours around Thanksgiving just in case I can’t resist the great food.
One last thing is to only finish about 2/3 of the food on your plate. Put the rest up for later and listen to your tummy. Eat slowly. Savor the food and don’t overeat. You can enjoy the food without overindulging.
