In honor of Larry Neff, Goodwill’s former President and CEO, we have renamed our Career Center to: The Larry Neff Center for Career Connections.  Mr. Neff’s diligence and careful management brought growth to Goodwill Industries of Michiana, and provided the foundation to become the thriving organization it is today.  His legacy lives on through countless individuals who are now enjoying successful, productive and abundant lives because Goodwill helped them overcome barriers to employment. We continue on the path Mr. Neff began, as we fulfill our mission to strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.  The Larry Neff Centers for Career Connections… honoring our past as we continue to provide exceptional guidance for those seeking employment and career advancement.

We are thrilled to welcome you back to our Goodwill Centers for Career Connections! Please be aware of the following guidelines set in place for your safety:

  • Please follow CDC guidelines and do not enter if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, nausea, or a sore throat
  • Masks will be worn by all Goodwill Staff
  • Masks are strongly recommended for guests who are working closer than 6 feet with anyone else
  • Masks are required for those who have not been vaccinated
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation processes are in place

Goodwill Centers for Career Connections are offering the NorthStar Digital Literacy Project Basic Computer Skills Certification. In the training you will complete numerous tasks that will be assessed online through self-guided modules. Included are basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in the areas of Basic Computer Use, Internet Basics, Windows and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with email, social media and information literacy. We offer Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum level certificates upon demonstrating competency and passing each level.

Resolve Human Resources Hiring Event    

  • Tuesday, July 6th  / 11:30 am to 2:30 pm   
  • Tuesday, July 20th  / 11:30 am to 2:30 pm                   

Resolve Human Resources serves as a scalable human resource infrastructure for businesses of any size. As a staffing and recruiting company, they provide clients with talent for unskilled labor as well as those hard to fill positions. Resolve Human Resources will have open interviews and employment assignments available upon interview with recruiters. Resumes can be submitted prior to this event and all walk-ins are accepted.

Interview Prep Workshop

  • Wednesday, July 14th / 10:30 am to 11:30 am

Have you been having an issue with landing a job? Have you been out of work for a while and not sure what to expect in the interview? If you answered yes to one of these questions, the Interview Prep Workshop is for you. Feel free to attend this workshop to get ready for your next job opportunity. Upon completion of the workshop, a one-on-one session can be scheduled with Career Connections staff. Job Fair

  • Thursday, July 29th / 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

The Goodwill Center for Career Connections will host a Job Fair with about 5 employers.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply prior to the event so on the spot interviews can be conducted and start dates scheduled. Career Connections computers will be available to individuals who have not yet completed an application online. They can also be used to print resumes for potential employers.

All Career Connections Events are free and open to the public.
