The Kiwanis Celebrate By Giving Back

chiliThe Portage Kiwanis is celebrating the holidays by giving back to the community! This Saturday, December 4, the Kiwanis are hosting a chili luncheon fundraiser during the Toys for Tots Concert and Toy Drive at Woodland Park. Kids will be able to get their photo taken with Santa, one free photo courtesy of the Walgreens on Central Ave. Other activities include live music provided by Radio One Communications, kids activities, and toy collection by the Marines.

On December 16th, the club will be ringing the Salvation Army bell at Walmart. Stop by to say hi and donate to this great cause! It doesn't hurt if you bring a warm cup of cocoa too!

The Kiwanis have adopted a family on the list and are purchasing toys, clothes, and shoes for the family. They are also accepting donations of gift cards (grocery, gas, movies, department stores) from the community for the family. Donors can call Joy Lundstrom at 219.241.4098 to arrange drop off of donations.

The Portage Kiwanis meet weekly on Tuesday mornings, 7:30 am, at the Holiday Inn Express on Willowcreek Road. The meetings are all open to the public. Some upcoming speakers are:
