Last year the Portage Township Trustee’s office helped over 481 households and 1369 residents stay warm, safe and in their homes.
As the new school year approaches many Portage Township families need help with preparing their children to return to school in the way of supplies that are required by their instructors.
The Portage Township Trustee’s office is again coordinating a school supply drive to enable these children to start their school year off right.
Brendan Clancy and his office is asking for local businesses, churches, non-profit organizations and any citizens to collect monetary donations and school supplies for these kids in need. Their goal is to help every Portage Township child that needs assistance this year.
One hundred percent of your donation will go to this program and they are now accepting donations to July 31st. You may give monetary donations and make the checks payable to Friends of Portage Township Foundation or choose from the list of supplies below:
