This morning I woke up and there was dew on freshly cut grass that smelled incredible, and the sun was shining. Warm but you could feel Fall in the air.
Thanks to the beauty of friends like Ken Elwood on Facebook and his wife Edna, yesterday I saw a stirring Kenney Chesney video called The Boys of Fall that I could actually feel this morning. On a morning of the Friday Night home opener for the Valpo Vikings Football team tonight versus LaPorte, and the Portage Indians home game vs. Lake Central it is hard not get a little extra kick in your step thinking about Fall Football on the Pop Warner, High School, College, and Pro level.
Thank you to the Boys of Fall for giving my old bag of bones a little shot in the arm today. Looking forward to some Friday Night Lights.
