This program brings holiday cheer to seniors in our facility.
Similar to Angel Trees, individuals are able to give gifts to financially challenged senior during the holidays. The gifts are wrapped and then given to local seniors who would otherwise be alone during the holidays. Our facility, among others across the nation, participated in the program that is run by Home Instead Senior Care®, volunteers, community members and the Northwest Indiana Continuity of Care Association.
Over a quarter of individuals 65 and older are widowed or live alone. It's important that they are shown love and not forgotten, especially during the holidays.
