Team Chevrolet Valparaiso offers huge inventory, full-service, and expectation-shattering customer care

Since its founding by Gurley Leep and Michael Rudolph in 2000, Team Chevrolet Valparaiso has been providing the community and greater Northwest Indiana with the highest quality vehicles and service, paired with an uncompromising commitment to doing the absolute best by their customers.

“We’re called ‘Team Chevy’ because we feel we’re a team with our customers, members, suppliers, and the community,” said David Brubaker, General Manager of Team Chevrolet Valparaiso. “We strive to do business the way you want it, and the integrity of our staff is huge. We try to honor and respect everyone, not to play games or charge extra fees.”

When a customer comes looking to buy a vehicle, Team Chevy takes every step to work around their needs and make them feel as comfortable as possible. If you are looking to make a trade-in, Team Chevy will provide all the information they have available for it. If you want a test drive, they offer them with no hassles. If you want to check your credit, they will do it in whatever way you prefer and look at specific banks to find you the best interest rates available.

“The car sales business doesn’t always have the best reputation, but we strive to destroy that idea and exceed expectations,” Brubaker said. “The best thing for us is when we become friends with our customers, and they become a part of our Team Family.”

Whether you purchased your vehicle at Team Chevy or not, they also offer full service on any make or model – from simple oil changes to complex repairs. They also have a parts and accessories department committed to offering quality parts at affordable prices.

“We want to be the place people feel comfortable coming to,” Brubaker said. “Customers know that we will take excellent care of them, and that they send their friends and family to us. The incredible number of referrals we receive is one of the best compliments we get, and we give our promise to take excellent care of them.”

Team Chevy is always adapting to customer feedback, taking their input and using it to find new ways to expand and improve their service.

“One of the biggest complaints about car buying is how long it takes to get on your way after you decide to purchase a car,” Brubaker said. “Let’s face it, no one wants to spend endless hours waiting. That’s why we’ve found creative ways to streamline that process and shorten that time, and it’s worked out well.”

They are also adapting to a changing marketplace, where many customers would rather stay home than visit the dealership.

“Many times, the process starts with an internet shopper inquiring on a vehicle,” Brubaker said. “We can do a lot for you from your home, and we’ve also offered to bring things to customers locally if they need us to.”

Their inventory is also always expanding to include the latest Chevy products.

“We have some exciting new vehicles for customers to come see and test drive,” Brubaker said. “There’s the new 2021 Trailblazer, the 2021 all-electric Bolt, as well as the redesigned Tahoe and Suburban.”

Team Chevy is also committed to giving back to the community that they have called home for two decades. The dealership has made contributions to organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Valpo Parks Department, and GracePoint’s Goodstock benefit concert to feed hungry children. They are part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and they participate in Toys for Tots and have partnered with 500 Turkeys in the fall.

“We try to make a difference in the community,” Brubaker said. “We want people to hear the name ‘Team Chevy’ and think ‘they’re a team that gives back.’”

The dealers’ ownership group, Gurley Leep, owns a number of dealerships in Indiana. Since 2015, they have given back $12.8 million in the areas they serve through an initiative called Driven to Give.

“We’re honored to work for a company who really cares,” Brubaker said. “And we’re proud to be a part of Valparaiso and all that it has to offer.”

Team Chevrolet Valparaiso is located on 1856 US-30, Valparaiso, IN 46385. Visit them in-store or online at www.chevyon30.com and ask to introduce yourself to Brubaker.

“I want to try to know everyone,” he said. “And if you ever see a way we can improve, please let me know.”
