Here is what you need to know about the month of September for the City of Hammond.

  • City offices will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
  • Join Mayor McDermott and his executive staff for Mayor’s Night Out in Hammond’s 1st District on Wednesday, September 23 at the Lincoln Elementary School Cafeteria, 4221 Towle, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Visit gohammond.com for details.
  • Hammond Parks will host a Futsal one-day tournament on Saturday, September 5 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the new Irving Park Futsal court.  This tourney is open for ages 14 and over.  Only 6 team spots are available, so register now!  Call 853-7705 for more information.
  • Hammond Parks and the Hammond Public Library will hold a free Outdoor Movie Night on September 19 at 7:00 pm at the Dowling Park Athletic Complex Plaza on J.F.
