All northwest Indiana Strack & Van Til stores will be partnering with Meals on Wheels March 29, 2021 to April 11, 2021 in a Round Up campaign to help support meal delivery. Strack & Van Til patrons will have the chance to Round Up their purchase in support of Meals on Wheels.
The need for Meals on Wheels has increased greatly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every cent raised adds up to a bounty of fellowship for our senior neighbors, as $5.00 helps deliver a nutritious meal.
“Strack & Van Til knows how important Meals on Wheels service is essential to the community in the best of times,” Derek Kinney of Strack & Van Til said. “We want to do everything we can to make sure Northwest Indiana seniors keep getting the vital nutrition they need to stay well.”
“Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana is grateful to be selected by Strack & Van Til for the Round Up campaign,” said Sandra Noe, Executive Director of Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana. “Rounding Up gives people the chance to come together to meet the surge in need for meal delivery, and helps keep our commitment to serving seniors and others who need nutrition.”
Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana delivers 1,600 nutritional meals daily to people in need serving all of Lake, Porter, Newton, and Jasper counties, and has delivered more than 8 million meals since 1977.
A portion of the funds will also benefit VNA Meals on Wheels of Porter County which serves the Valparaiso area as well.
