Steel Technologies Supports the Portage Boys & Girls Club

SueRodgers-Dawn-Bell-Scott-Holton-Steel-TechnologiesThe Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was recently presented with a $1,000 donation on behalf of Steel Technologies and its Steel Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that supports the environment and the surrounding communities. The Steel Foundation is funded by Steel Technologies and their employees. Scott Holton, Plant manager for Steel Technologies in Portage and Sue Rodgers of their Human Resources Department presented the check to Dawn Bell, Unit Director for the Portage Club to help support the programs and services of the Portage Club.

The Boys & Girls Club of Porter County provides children ages 5 to 18 with an affordable $25.00 annual membership ($20 at the Duneland Club) with Club sites located in Valparaiso, South Haven, Duneland and Portage. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County is now accepting registration for its Kidscamp summer program at all Club locations. Registration for the Portage Club is scheduled for Friday, June 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 5895 Evergreen Avenue, Portage.
