St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary awarded 20 scholarships to students pursuing a career in the health and medical field at the Scholarship Award Ceremony last summer. Featured speaker, Stephanie Bryant, DO, Family Medicine physician of Community Care Network-Lake George Medical Center, spoke to scholarship recipients about their healthcare career choices and the hard work and opportunities that lie ahead.
“It’s important to take care of your own health,” said Dr. Bryant, “You have to be healthy in order to take care of other people.”
She stated the importance of keeping your family close, and keeping your mind sharp by continuing to do hobbies and the things that you love. “Trust your gut and know when to ask for help. Never lose your love of learning, and be curious about everything.”
