Free screenings, assessments, vaccines, workforce development, housing resources and more available
Indiana University Northwest College of Health and Human Services and Health Information Management (HIM) Department are proud to host the 2023 Spring Community Wellness Fair.
The health and education fair will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22 at IU Northwest’s Savannah Center gymnasium. It is open to the Northwest Indiana public along with IU Northwest students, faculty and staff.
Methodist Hospitals, Community HealthNet and Marram Health will be offering free health screenings, including:
- Blood pressure checks
- BMI checks
- Heart attack and stroke risk assessments
- Cholesterol and diabetes screenings
- COVID-19 vaccines and testing
- HIV screenings
- Behavioral health screenings
- Dental screenings
Workforce development, housing and many other community resources will also be available.
The Legacy Foundation will be offering $25 grocery gift cards to any attendees who receive a vaccine during the event. Free smoothies will also be offered at the event.
Parking is free during the event, excluding faculty/staff, handicapped and reserved parking areas.
The Savannah Center Gymnasium is located on the north side of the main campus, near 33rd Avenue and Broadway.
